2004-10-15 [Whim]: I think Lioness123 is right. Banners will just cause massive clutter. And for future reference (not that anyone has actually done this) it may be good to keep descriptions pretty short.

2004-10-15 [Whim]: If any of them run over to two lines, I wouldn't make a fuss about it. It's not a huge deal anyway. The banners aren't that big a deal either, it's just a matter of keeping things looking neat and readable.

2004-10-17 [Whim]: But banners are misleading. Good wikis often get crappy banners and bad wikis often get good ones. You're better off just browsing the catagories.

2004-10-23 [Sunrose]: Fill in a name in the white box that says 'Go to wiki-page:' (in the menu on the right). Then press 'Go'. If the wiki that appears says 'This is an empty page' you can take it. Press 'Edit this page' and fill in what you want on the wiki, then press 'Submit changes to page'... :)
